What is tested?

We check in five structured steps:
1. hydration & salivation (How quickly does new saliva form? How well hydrated are you?)
2. viscosity & consistency (Is your saliva watery and clear - or foamy and thick?)
3. pH value (Is your saliva in the healthy, neutral range or in an acidic zone?)
4. amount of saliva under stimulation (How much protective substance do you actively produce during stimuli such as chewing?)
5. buffering capacity (How well can your saliva compensate for acid attacks - a key role for tooth preservation and biofilm balance).
